Palakkad district ex-servicemen cooperative welfare a net credit society Ltd No 1237 was established in the year 2006. This was possible due to the vision initiative and hard work of Mr. N. Ravikumar, Mr. Muralidharan P, and a few others veterans. The managerial experience of Mr. R. K. Menon ( first president ) proved to be very helpful for the smooth functioning of the society. Also, the selfless service of Mr. Vinod B ( secretary ) helped in further strengthening the working of the society.
The society has 1628 A-class members, 421 C class members presently. Society has 30 crores as working capital. It is an ‘A’ class cooperative society. Govt of Kerala has taken shares worth Rs one lakh as ‘B’ class member, is worth highlighting.
Society is running in profit since 2008 and the dividend is paid regularly. The audit is carried out by the cooperative department.
The society is co-located with the CSD center to the canteen for the ease of transactions by veterans members. Initially, it was at Nurani and shifted to Vazhakadavu in 2008. with ECHS The tenure of the board of directors is for five years. The election was held in 2011 and 2016.
The managing committee /board of directors consists of eleven members. The tenure of the bond is for five years election was held in 2011 and 2016.
